Her first stuffed puppy - from daddy! A Utes shirt and hair bows (can't see 'em) from Aunt Amber, Uncle Dave, and cousin Jacob, white hat from Meme`, hooded towels and washcloths from Grandma Lloyd, and of course, the cutest little pink socks! (Also from daddy... guess who's gonna be a daddy's girl??)
Our Christmas card photo. Yes, you can see the bump. :-)
Woohoo! We had a VERY Merry Christmas!

Children roasting on an open fire...

To explain the subject, my mom and her brother came up with a seriously demented version of "The Christmas Song" years ago, and to this day I can't listen to the song without giggling.

SO much has happened in the past couple of months! We are definitely having a girl, she already has a lot of pink stuff, and she is going to be sooooo spoiled... in a good way, of course.

The second week of December, we moved into a house! No more little apartment.  It was stressful moving in, but it is so nice to have so much space! We've had a lot of fun putting our home together.

When we moved from our little apartment, we only had one set of couches. We figured we would just have one empty room for a while. Then Bradley, bless his heart, was on the KSL classifieds the night before we moved and says, "Hey, hon, here's a free couch!"... Oh yes, you'd better believe we totally went and picked up a free couch out of someone's driveway.

Our first Christmas together was perfect! I worked Christmas Eve, but was off in time to still spend time with Brad's family that night. Christmas day we went up to Gramps and Grandma Lloyd's house in Brigham.  We had a lot of fun with family!

Time seems to be flying by lately. I'll update again soon!

Oh, Baby!

So we've been married just over 4 months now. Guess what else? That's right, we're having a baby!

The little one is due April 22, 2012!  So far, we have a crib and... not much else. We find out baby's gender on Thursday (two days awayyyyyy!!!) so I'm sure we will be adding to our baby-stuff stash soon. We are so excited and feel so blessed to be parents! We know it's soon, but we feel like it's right.

I felt baby move for the first time yesterday, which means Daddy should feel baby in the next couple of months!

Two weeks from today, Bradley and I will be married!!!

I'm so excited, and I feel so blessed to have such an amazing man in my life!!!

That being said, here is fair warning that we may not blog for a little bit... at least not until we're settled!

I'll try to blog a little about our apartment during the next couple of weeks, but no promises!!!

Sad Boy :-(

So this is going to be one sad week.  Sterling is on a cruise with her mom, and I am stuck here all alone.  But day one is over, and I only have a week left.  I am really looking forward to being able to see her again!
So I also wanted to catch everybody up to speed on things.  We are only four weeks away from being married!!! It truly can't come fast enough.  Last Wednesday I moved into our apartment!  Yippee!!! It is a great little place.  It is in a basement of a house.  The couple that lives upstairs is really cool, and they finished the basement into a complete apartment for us to live in.  It is just one bedroom, but it is a huge room.  We have a great bathroom with a huge deep soak tub.  We were lucky enough to get a lot of furniture from other people.  We have a house full of stuff.  It is nice though, cuz this way our apartment doesn't seem so empty.
I guess that that is about all for now.  I will try and post a little bit more about the place, and maybe some pictures later this week, but for now it is midnight and I have been up since 4:30 this morning. So I am going to go to sleep!

The Easter Bunny got confused...

So, the Easter Bunny made a visit to my house and left a basket outside my bedroom door. But, in a wonderful mixup, the Easter Bunny also left me ANOTHER basket at Bradley's house! I guess it's hard for the poor bunny to know where I'm at... I sure hope this happens at Christmas!
In all seriousness, though, Easter was so much fun! Bradley took me to visit his home ward (something we haven't done yet, which I was a little nervous about!) and I got teary-eyed in relief society... We left a few minutes early, though, so we could make it to our singles ward and our Temple Prep class on time. Oh, by the way, we're taking a temple-prep class! It's official, we're going to be SEALED in 71 days!
After our class, we headed up to Brigham City to have Easter lunch/dinner with Bradley's grandparents, parents, sister's family, brother, and aunt and uncle's family. It was a big crazy mess of people, and so much fun! We spent about an hour outside throwing a frisbee and enjoying the beautiful Easter weather. Handstands, cartwheels, and {failed} attempts to do some tricky yoga poses were also included in the outside activities, as well as a wrestling match between Bradley and his {taller} little brother, Ryan. I haven't laughed so hard in a while! Bradley won, which made me proud. (I would have been proud anyway, sweetie!)
After spending some more time inside with his grandparents, we took off to drop in on my family for a little bit. We hit the end of the Kraaima festivities, so we headed to my house to see my mom, then went to Bradley's house. We started a gift registry online at Bed, Bath & Beyond (in case anyone wants to know, it's under Bradley Lloyd and Sterling Winn), and cuddled.
The only downside to the day was that we lost my keys (temporarily, we have them now), so my car is at Bradley's house which means we will be doing some impressive car-shuffling in the morning.
I start my first *real* day of work tomorrow, and Bradley will be heading into his last two-and-a-half weeks of teaching at the Elementary school. Woohoo!

I'd like to add a little side note - I've been thinking a lot today about Christ's atonement for us, and his marvelous resurrection. Until two years ago, I didn't understand much about the atonement or what it actually entailed. I've found strength and comfort in Alma 7... if anyone is in the mood to read it, do. Christ suffered for our sins, yes, but he also suffered the pains we would feel just from being human, as the result of others' sin, and every kind of infirmity we may feel throughout our life. When we are told that Christ knows how we feel, He truly does. He knows what it was like when I was a lonely teenage girl or when I ached because of my dad dying, because it was necessary for Him to feel that pain in order for him to know how to lift me up in my time of need. He is truly the only one who can empathize, and He loves us enough to wrap His arms around us when we are in need. I'm so grateful for the knowledge I have of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and that I have been able to strengthen my testimony. I'm so grateful for the opportunity I have to enter into the house of the Lord in a couple of months and make sacred covenants, and especially grateful to know that I will be with Bradley for eternity... our relationship will not end with death. I can hardly comprehend it.

Great News!!!

So I decided that since neither of us had written in a while, I would go ahead and put some great news up here.... Both Sterling have gotten new jobs!  I am working up at Burger Bar, and Sterling is working as a server at Chili's!  We are both really super excited about our new jobs!!!  I have been working for about a week now, and I am still finishing up my coaching job at Roy Elementary.  Sterling started working at Chili's this week and is loving it very much.  She feels like she is going to do a really great job and be a great assest to the business.  We also found a place to live when we get married.  We found a basement apartment in Sunset that we really feel like it will be a great place to live.  It is one bedroom, and in a great neighborhood.  The people that live upstairs are really great, and have told us a little bit about the ward and the area.  Only 76 days till we get married!!!

Wonderful Evening!

Ok!  So this is the greatest news EVER!!!!!!!!!  It actually happened two days ago! But we are just now finding the time to write!  By the way, this is Bradley writing on Sterling's computer, as she makes wonderful wedding lists.  So.....  If you didn't get the big news from the last sentence, go look at it again, only closer!  Because, WE ARE ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  HOOAAAA!!!!!!!! Anyways, I am going to tell you all about it! So, on Friday I went to the ring store and picked up the ring. It is a beautiful solitaire marquis cut diamond in a cathedral setting.  Here is a picture!

After I went and picked up the ring, I went and
picked up the most wonderful girl in the world.  We then went and did baptisms for the dead in the Bountiful Utah Temple!

The temple was quite busy, but was still oh-so-very-wonderful!  When we got out of the temple, I took her for a walk around the temple grounds.  We stopped on the east side of the temple by the fountain.  We hugged and kissed a little bit before I decided that it was time...  So I then asked Sterling Bo how happy she was, and she said that she was "Blissfully Happy."  I then asked if I could make her even happier, and I knelt down and pulled the ring out of my pocket.  I then asked her if she would marry me, and she squealed like a mouse with a hand over her mouth. I thought that she was going to fall to the ground.  She then said yes, and I stood up and gave her a ginormous hug.  I was still holding the ring at this point in time, and I had to ask if I could possibly put the ring on her finger.  We then kept hugging and kissing and laughing for about another 15 or 20 minutes.  We decided that we should probably go tell our families, so the rest of the evening was spent driving around and calling our family and telling them all about our wonderful evening.  By Saturday night we had broken down and put it up on Facebook.  Our phones started going off like crazy and haven't really stopped since!  It has been the best two days of my entire life, and I am so so so very excited to be able to spend the rest of eternity with the love of my life by my side!  I love you Sterling Bo!

picture show

Well, after a crazy weekend of being chased by wild chinchillas and backpacking through the remote jungles of Kentucky (bwahahaha...), Bradley and I are about to embark on our ninth week of happily-ever-after (still not engaged, thank you!). Tonight was a first... an amazing, wonderful, incredible blow-your-mind first. I'm not sure all the details should be put out in the blogosphere, but I'm going to anyway.

Bradley and I went to a movie and dinner. Yes, that's right, eight weeks of dating and it's our first time setting foot inside one of those new-fangled moving pictures (together). It's amazing! You get color pictures AND sound! No more of this

stuff.

Okay, but seriously. It was so fun! We snuggled and watched the movie and I got all tensed up and was in total suspense, then when I let go of Bradley's hand it only took about two minutes for blood-flow to return. No, it was not a horror film. We saw "Unknown"... sooooooo good!

We then turned into those jerks who go into a fast-food place ten minutes before close. We ran in to Chick-fil-A, ordered delicious sandwiches, then returned to my house and ate them while watching the nightly news with my momma. Then we kissed and cuddled on the couch for a little bit, and I said goodbye to my wonderful Bradley at the door - where he promptly gave me the assignment to blog about tonight. I daresay it's his turn next time, seeing as how I've blogged the last three times. Eh hem!!!

(Love you, Snookums!!!)

how we met

Facebook. Yup, it's true. Bradley added me as a friend, I started chatting with him... next thing we knew, we were Facebook flirting and Bradley got my number. Now here we are, falling in love with each other more and more every day, and it's all thanks to Facebook.

Okay... it's also thanks to our singles ward. I sang and he spoke on the same Sunday. Which was why he actually added me on Facebook in the first place.

I'm head over heels for this man, can I just say that? He makes me feel invincible, amazing, and strong. Every girl deserves him, and I'm the lucky girl who gets him forever!!!

long drive just to pee your pants...

So today was fantastic! Bradley and I had a semi-unplanned day. I didn't have work or school, and Bradley only had to go into work for an hour. So he picked me up at 10:00, we went up to Weber State, and later ate lunch with my momma (she teaches up there, so it was pretty convenient). (Thanks for the Winger's, mom!)

We then decided what we would do for the rest of the day. We picked up Bradley's mom from work, went and picked out a ring, scanned and edited some ultrasound pictures for my friend/cousin's school project, met up with my friend, then headed off to group.

Hm? What's that? "What's this about a ring?!?" you say? Oh... well okay. We went to this cute little place called Aaron's Jewelry in Roy. (It's where Bradley has his watches looked at). They were sooooooo nice, and sat with us for a long time! We picked out a setting, talked about what styles I liked, and we picked out the center stone. It is sooooo pretty! I'm excited, Bradley was excited, it was fantastic. No purchase, and for good reason. Bradley hadn't talked to my dad yet!

So we're on our way to group... and we decide to fore-go group and go visit my dad. After a few hours, Bradley bravely asked my dad if he could talk to him. So what does my dad say? "Depends. You got a quarter?" then they laughed, and my dad got up and started doing stuff around the kitchen! I cleared my throat a few times, then finally I said "Okay, so are you two going to go talk or what?!"... so I stayed in the kitchen with Janet and Bradley went into my dad's office with him. Janet and I giggled and talked about how the conversation in the other room was going, meanwhile (Bradley told me this later, I love you honey!) Bradley about peed his pants when he asked my dad for my hand.

My dad said yes (of course!) and now all that's left is Bradley asking my momma... and that whole business of getting the ring. We're pretty open about this with each other, as you can probably tell...

Bradley, I love you. You are amazing and you make every moment worthwhile! I can't wait to spend my forever with you!

Picnic

Well being new to this whole blogging thing, I am not really sure what to do here...  But I wanted to share about my night last night!  It was quite enjoyable.  Sterling and I had a picnic in my living room by the fire in the fireplace. It was a snowy evening and we were supposed to go to family home evening with the singles ward.  With the bad weather and everything, we decided to stay home...  It was a way fun evening in which I beat Sterling in the game of backgammon twice, and I got beat twice as well... We had a quite enjoyable snowball fight with my mom and brother.  After coming in from the snowball fight we decided to make hot cocoa and again sit by the fire!  I only wish that everyday for forever could be that wonderful!

First post!

I just wanted to have something to show for the ten minutes spent setting up this blog... ta da!!!!
