So, the Easter Bunny made a visit to my house and left a basket outside my bedroom door. But, in a wonderful mixup, the Easter Bunny also left me ANOTHER basket at Bradley's house! I guess it's hard for the poor bunny to know where I'm at... I sure hope this happens at Christmas!
In all seriousness, though, Easter was so much fun! Bradley took me to visit his home ward (something we haven't done yet, which I was a little nervous about!) and I got teary-eyed in relief society... We left a few minutes early, though, so we could make it to our singles ward and our Temple Prep class on time. Oh, by the way, we're taking a temple-prep class! It's official, we're going to be SEALED in 71 days!
After our class, we headed up to Brigham City to have Easter lunch/dinner with Bradley's grandparents, parents, sister's family, brother, and aunt and uncle's family. It was a big crazy mess of people, and so much fun! We spent about an hour outside throwing a frisbee and enjoying the beautiful Easter weather. Handstands, cartwheels, and {failed} attempts to do some tricky yoga poses were also included in the outside activities, as well as a wrestling match between Bradley and his {taller} little brother, Ryan. I haven't laughed so hard in a while! Bradley won, which made me proud. (I would have been proud anyway, sweetie!)
After spending some more time inside with his grandparents, we took off to drop in on my family for a little bit. We hit the end of the Kraaima festivities, so we headed to my house to see my mom, then went to Bradley's house. We started a gift registry online at Bed, Bath & Beyond (in case anyone wants to know, it's under Bradley Lloyd and Sterling Winn), and cuddled.
The only downside to the day was that we lost my keys (temporarily, we have them now), so my car is at Bradley's house which means we will be doing some impressive car-shuffling in the morning.
I start my first *real* day of work tomorrow, and Bradley will be heading into his last two-and-a-half weeks of teaching at the Elementary school. Woohoo!
I'd like to add a little side note - I've been thinking a lot today about Christ's atonement for us, and his marvelous resurrection. Until two years ago, I didn't understand much about the atonement or what it actually entailed. I've found strength and comfort in Alma 7... if anyone is in the mood to read it, do. Christ suffered for our sins, yes, but he also suffered the pains we would feel just from being human, as the result of others' sin, and every kind of infirmity we may feel throughout our life. When we are told that Christ knows how we feel, He truly does. He knows what it was like when I was a lonely teenage girl or when I ached because of my dad dying, because it was necessary for Him to feel that pain in order for him to know how to lift me up in my time of need. He is truly the only one who can empathize, and He loves us enough to wrap His arms around us when we are in need. I'm so grateful for the knowledge I have of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and that I have been able to strengthen my testimony. I'm so grateful for the opportunity I have to enter into the house of the Lord in a couple of months and make sacred covenants, and especially grateful to know that I will be with Bradley for eternity... our relationship will not end with death. I can hardly comprehend it.
